The Blessing

On Sunday we blessed Avery. I always look forward to blessing my children. I love to hear what our Father in Heaven would say to these new spirits who only just left His presence. We had Poppy and Grandma and Grandpa Goddard come out from California, and Megan and Jack (note in the group picture that aparently Megan was the only one who got the memo. Are we sisters or what!), and Blake and his family. Mary Ann and some of her kids came , and she (being as wonderful as she is) threw a blessing luncheon for the whole crowd at her house. Wow! All in all, it was a beautiful day.

Look at that proud daddy. This little girl already has her daddy wrapped around her finger.

I can't wait until the next day I get to dress her in white... and then the next white dress...

Hiking in the land of Big Cottonwood

Last week we took a family hike in the Big Cottonwood Canyon. As we were walking Colin wanted to know about the king and queen that lived high up in the rocks, so we spent the whole walk learning about King Daddy and Queen Mommy and their royal knights and princesses and all of their adventures. It's days like this that make all of the long tireless nights worth it. These days are truly magical for our family.

We knew one of the kids would eventually take after daddy!

Liberty Park

Grandma Bunny told us about a park that she visited as a teenager, and we found it! The carousel is still there, but looks pretty beat up. They have a fountain called the Seven Canyons Fountain for the kids to run in. Very cool!
